Le Mas d’Azil is a must-see Prehistory site, and for good reason! The grotte , the musée de la préhistoire, the Xploria forest or the dolmens… multiple possibilities for exceptional discoveries.
We invite you to wander from village to village, discovering a heritage steeped in history, with its churches, Protestant temples, half-timbered houses and ramparts… which today bear witness to the richness and diversity of the Arize and Lèze valleys.
Look out for the large dome on the hillside in Sabarat, the only astronomical observatory in the Ariège region.
